Individual’s interests and work experience are evaluated in an effort to identify appropriate job placements.
Job Readiness Workshops: Training includes instruction, practice and reinforcement of pre-employment related tasks.
Phase I: Includes the development of a person-centered resume, mock interviews, exploration of employment interests and opportunities, guest employers, and other job readiness activities.
Phase II: On-site job sampling allows individuals opportunities to sample job tasks at a variety ofemployment settings. Employment Specialists observe tasks and provide feedback to participants that assist in increasing work related competencies.
Employment Specialists identify existing paid positions within the community and assist in placement.
One-to-one direction, support and training of individuals on the job site are offered to participants. Employment Specialists also communicate with employers to maintain rapport and open lines of communication to ensure proper supports are being provided.
